The following Fire Districts and municiples have adopted electrical codes for docks and an inspection program:  Osage Beach, Lake Ozark, Sunrise Beach, Mid County, Rocky Mount, Camdenton, and the Village of Four Seasons.

Please note that proposed docks outside of jurisdications have electrical codes must also meet electrical safety standards as outlined in Ameren Missouri's guidelines and found on www.ameren.missouri.com/lake

All Dock Applications submitted to Ameren Missouri must include a copy of the electrical permit from the appropriate authority.  Ameren will not accept applications that do not include a copy of the Electric permit after January 1, 2013.

On Tuesday July 23rd the Osage Beach Fire Protection District Board of Directors voted unanimously to approve new
requirements on the Dock Inspection Program within the Fire District.  Ordinance 2013-1, an addendum to the original
ordinance passed in 2006 now reads as follows:

Docks that are covered by the adopted ordinances of Osage Beach Fire Protection District are as follows.

1. A docks that is new after the date of January 1, 2006.

  1. 2. Docks that are moved into a new location whether new or used after the date of January 1, 2006.

  2. 3. Any dock that has an update to its electrical system or structure that results in work being done to
    the dock’s electrical system.
  3.  4. Any dock of a private residence* as defined in section R101.2 of 2012 International Residential Code
    and section(s) 553 or 554 of 2011 National Electrical Code and the current
    adopted electrical ordinance of the Osage Beach Fire Protection District that
    has a transfer of ownership.

*Residential dock not tied to any association, permitted in owner’s

Each dock will be considered, as it owns structure.  The fees will apply each dock.

 The minimum fee is $50.00

Dock up to 4

All docks over 4 wells fees will be rated per schedule as follows.

Docks with 5 or more wells fee-------------------------------------$50.00+$6.00 per well

One re-inspection is included in the fee.  An additional re-inspection will be charged a
fee of $25.00 per inspection.

Effective date of this new requirement will be September 1st, 2013.

Any dock that passes inspection will be good for a period of one year for the purpose of sale of real estate.
